A few years ago, we took a long hard look in the mirror and vowed to be more conscious of not only our carbon-footprint but the effects of our products on the environment. As of 2023, the majority of our products feature recycled materials. We cleaned up our chemistry, found sustainable fabric manufacturing practices, and made the switch to 100% GRS certified recycled materials. A great gift for the eco-queen in your life is the all-new Rory Clog and Rory Bootie. Our beautiful microsuede material is created from the shredding of plastic water bottles that can be harmful to plant and animal life. Those shreds are soaked, spun, and retooled into a soft microsuede that is just as durable but without all the guilt that comes with fast fashion. This game changing microsuede is also machine washable, extending the life of the slippers for seasons to come and keeping them out of landfills. Remember when we were talking about clean chemistry? The Mya Glove features the same great recycled microsuede as our Rory slippers with an eco-conscious water repellent technology. With the SmartDRI coating, water rolls right off to keep her protected from rain or snow. Unlike other water repellencies, our innovative technology was developed without the use of harmful PFC (perfluorinated chemicals) that can be destructive to plants, animals, and even our drinking water.
And speaking of waterways, how about a slipper made from algae? We partnered with the environmental geniuses at BLOOM® Sustainable Materials to create innovative outsoles using an all-new, sustainable algae-based technology. Each pair of Clean Water slippers are also made from dye-free GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) organic fabric. We’re taking on the issue of water pollution, one slipper at a time.
